Overview

This webinar aims to support professionals—including counsellors, social workers, psychotherapists, psychologists, midwives, and nurses—who work with mothers, fathers, and families/whānau navigating this often unexpected and overwhelming experience.

Baby loss is a type of disenfranchised grief that is often overlooked and given little space for discussion. It's crucial to acknowledge the frequently overwhelming and unique grief experiences of these individuals and whānau to provide them with appropriate service and support.

Pregnancy and baby loss can have profound, far-reaching emotional impacts on mothers, partners, children, and extended families. This presentation explores how we can support this significant vulnerability by creating spaces for sensitive conversations filled with empathy and consideration.
