Overview

In our private lives and in the work that we do it is likely that we have all been touched by the impact of suicide. There are multiple factors that impact people’s mental health and wellbeing. Suicide has been described as a serious global public health crisis and is among the leading causes of death with over 700,000 people worldwide dying each year (WHO, 2021).

This webinar explores some of the theories and research that help us understand and recognise the multiple factors that may contribute to a person moving from thinking about suicide to taking action. Greater understanding can help us to prevent suicide.
