Who should attend this webinar?

Anyone who works in a professional care role or supports people through all forms of loss and grief. Our content is applicable to a wide variety of professions including counsellors, social workers, teachers, emergency response teams, medical, corrections, mental health, hospice, volunteers, caregivers and more. 

 

Overview

This webinar will look at understanding the nature of self-harm and what recent, and current research development tells us.

Self-harm has been highlighted as a major public health concern, both nationally and internationally. Although hard to measure, the number of young people with non-fatal intentional self-harm injuries who are presenting at hospitals continues to rise. Research has identified self-harmful thoughts and behaviours as both multidimensional and complex in nature.
